Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high quality Biology lessons across Junior and Senior School groups, aligned to CBC and 8-4-4 syllabuses.
- Design and supervise practical laboratory work; ensure laboratory safety, stock control and practical assessment.
- Prepare learners for candidate classes (exam/assessment preparation, past-paper practice, marking & feedback).
- Maintain accurate assessment records and communicate student progress.
- Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and curriculum review.
- Participate in school life beyond the classroom, including co-curricular activities, pastoral responsibilities, clubs or teams.
Essential qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Biology or closely related) and a recognized teaching qualification.
- Valid TSC registration (or equivalent) and demonstrable classroom experience across Junior & Senior School.
- Strong practical science skills and familiarity with laboratory safety and equipment.
Desirable
- Prior experience in high-performing schools or international curricula.
- Experience with data-driven teaching, formative assessment techniques, and exam preparation strategies.
- Proven evidence of preparing candidate classes (KCSE 8-4-4 and/or IGCSE).
- Willingness to contribute to co-curricular programmes and school events.
