Vacancies at Flying Kites Leadership Academy
Our Approach
Led by the belief that gender equity is the bedrock of thriving communities, we are advancing the agency of young adolescent girls in rural Kenya.
By building the capacity of teachers to transform their schools, our approach ensures that girls in primary school have access to the resources and support they need to stay in school and make informed choices about their bodies, their education, and their futures.
In connection with Kenya’s Ministry of Education, we partner with underserved primary schools in rural Kenya (collectively, the “Flying Kites School Network”) as they work to raise the level of education they provide and ensure that their students are engaged and supported. Through these engagements with primary school teachers and their school leadership, we deliver and monitor our five integrative initiatives: Girls Education & Leadership, Gender-Based Violence Prevention, Trained & Equipped Teachers, Clean Water & Sanitation, and Safe & Inclusive Classrooms.
