About Our School

Oshwal Academy Mombasa is a premier private school owned and managed by the Oshwal Education & Relief Board.  The Academy proudly offers a globally recognized holistic curriculum encompassing the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), Cambridge Primary, Cambridge International Education
(IGCSE, AS, and A-Levels), and Pearson EDEXCEL International.
The Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced Maths/Science Teacher to teach in the Junior School.

1. Maths / Science Teacher

Knowledge of technical content delivery in a variety of examinable syllabi
(Cambridge primary curriculum leading to Cambridge primary checkpoint and progression exams),
or equivalent to Key Stage 2 (KS2).

2. Chemistry / Mathematics Teacher

Teaching Experience: At least five (5) years’ successful teaching experience in Cambridge
International Education (IGCSE /AS and A-Level).

Qualifications & Experience

• Academic Background: A graduate with a Bachelor of Education (Sciences) degree with
  specialisation in Mathematics as a second subject.
• Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Teaching Experience: At least three years’ teaching experience in Cambridge International
  Education

3. Maths / Physics Teacher

• Academic Background: A graduate with a Bachelor of Education (Sciences) degree with specialisation in Mathematics and Physics as a second subject.
• Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
• Teaching Experience: At least five year.

4. Assistant Teacher (Junior school)

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Qualifications: P1 Certificate / Diploma in teaching.
• Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
• Teaching Experience: At least two years teaching experience.

• Syllabus Knowledge
• Pedagogy: Knowledgeable in modern pedagogy and demonstrable teaching practices.
  Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Good intra and interpersonal skills with high ethical standards.
• Organization: Good planning and organisation skills.
• Independence: Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Innovation: Innovative and creative individual.
• Co-curricular Support: Ability and proven willingness to support clubs and other co-curricular
  activities.
