Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Primary Education or P1 Certificate or Degree in Education

Added knowledge of other curriculums like IGCSE, IB is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

●Teaching & Instruction:

○Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in the assigned subject(s).

○Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

○Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.

●Curriculum Implementation:

○Follow the school’s curriculum guidelines and standards to ensure consistent and high-quality instruction.

○Integrate innovative teaching methods, including the use of technology, to enhance learning outcomes.

○Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and foster critical thinking and creativity.

●Student Development:

○Encourage the intellectual, emotional, and social development of students through a balanced approach to education.

○Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.

○Identify and address individual student needs, providing additional support where necessary.

●Extracurricular Involvement:

○Participate in and contribute to school activities, events, and extracurricular programs.

○For Music and Performing Arts teachers: Lead and coordinate music and performance activities, ensuring students are actively involved in these programs.

○For Physical Education and Agriculture teachers: Organize and oversee practical sessions, encouraging hands-on learning experiences.

●Classroom Management:

○Maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.

○Implement school policies and procedures consistently to ensure student safety and well-being.

○Engage in effective communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support student learning and school goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

●P1 Certificate or Degree in Education (required) or Diploma in Primary Education

●Specialized training or experience in the specific subject area (Music teachers must have proficiency in piano playing).

●Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

●Ability to inspire and motivate students.

●Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

●Familiarity with the use of technology in education.
