1. Islamiyat Teacher
Key Requirements:
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in-Islamic Studies, Education, or related field.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) if the degree is not education
- Registration with the Teachers Service Commission
Curriculum Knowledge
- Familiarity with Cambridge International curriculum(IGCSE/AS/A Level)
- Ability to design schemes of work and less plans aligned with Cambridge standards
- Experience preparing students for Cambridge exams in Islamayat
Experience
- At least 2-3 years teaching Islamiyat in a recognized institution
- Prior work in international schools or with multicultural student populations is an advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving strong student outcomes.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of Arabic and English (depending on school requirements).
- Classroom management and ability to engage learners of diverse backgrounds.
- Integration of modern teaching methods (digital tools, interactive learning).
- Commitment to holistic education, including moral and spiritual development.
Compliance & Safeguarding
- Certificate of Good Conduct / background check.
- Understanding of child safeguarding policies and professional ethics.
2. GEOGRAPHY/ BUSINESS TEACHER
About the job
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Geography/Business Teacher located in Nairobi. The teacher will be responsible for preparing lesson plans, delivering engaging and effective classroom instruction, and assessing student progress in Geography and Business subjects. Additionally, the teacher will provide support to students, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in school meetings, activities, and events as required.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding and expertise in Business and Economics
- Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Education methodologies
- Knowledge of curriculum development and teaching strategies for Geography and Business subjects
- Relevant teaching certification or degree in Education, Geography, Business, or related field
- Proven experience in teaching Geography and/or Business studies
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
