St. George’s School is looking for a dynamic and caring Primary Teaching & Learning Assistant to support our Primary Department to start in August 2025.
Serving the international community in Cologne for over 40 years, St. George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The school has grown from small beginnings into a thriving community of over 800 pupils, aged from 2-18 and representing more than 50 nationalities.
The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school; we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.

The Location
Located on a new, purpose built campus on the outskirts of Cologne, St. George’s School enjoys direct transport links to the city centre, as well as to the greater area of Cologne-Bonn.

The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Primary Teaching & Learning Assistant to work in our flourishing primary department.
Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of the department is also an advantage.
Given the growing and developing nature of the school, flexibility and the desire to support other team members is essential. A strong desire to contribute to the rich pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school will also be an advantage.
The Teaching & Learning Assistant works closely with the Class Teachers to provide stimulating learning opportunities for pupils. They assist with monitoring and guiding pupils academic, social and emotional development as well as their general welfare. The Assistants supports Class teachers in observing children to keep careful track of pupils’ progress and maintain regular dialogue with the Class Teacher.
