About Us
For over 40 years, Brookhouse has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence. The school provides British Curriculum co-education across two Nairobi campuses and serve more than 1,300 pupils aged 1–19.
We hold accreditation from CIS and COBIS, and we actively participate as members of Round Square and G-30.
We are seeking experienced teachers who have worked at the appropriate level within a British curriculum school to join us for the 2026/2027 academic year beginning in September 2026.
1. Teacher of English & Literature
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structured programmes of study for each class with clearly stated aims and objectives, ensuring differentiation for students of varying abilities.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Mark classwork and homework and assess achievement in line with agreed Faculty policy.
- Contribute to curriculum development and incorporate elements of the British National Curriculum where appropriate.
- Integrate information technology into schemes of work in consultation with IT department staff.
- Attend meetings, including parent consultation meetings, as required.
- Participate in the duty rota as scheduled.
- Reflect the school’s philosophy and ethics clearly in your teaching practice.
- Cover lessons for absent colleagues and invigilate examinations when required.
- Promote the image and values of the school.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by the Director or the Core Management Team.
We may extend or adjust these responsibilities as directed by Senior Management.
2. Teacher of Art
Key Responsibilities

- Plan and teach individual lessons.
- Mark classwork and homework and assess achievement according to Faculty policy.
- Support curriculum development and integrate elements of the British National Curriculum as appropriate.
- Incorporate information technology into schemes of work in collaboration with IT staff.
- Attend required meetings, including parent consultations.
- Participate in the duty rota as scheduled.
- Demonstrate the school’s philosophy and ethics through teaching practice.

- Perform additional duties reasonably assigned by the Director and Management.
